There are a number of different funding options on offer for your project or event.

The Community Chest – up to £500 for local events or projects

Fly-tipping is a serious crime!

Please report fly-tipping to us by calling 0800 218 2247 and to Watford Borough Council, so that people who are caught can be prosecuted.

We may be able to help make adaptations to your home to make it safer and more comfortable to live in. 

Our staff and contractors always carry ID cards when visiting tenants or carrying out maintenance work. If you are in doubt about the identity of the person at the door, do not let them in, please contact us.

If you are living in a property that has rent free weeks, then there are two weeks of the year where you weekly rent is not charged. The two weeks are the week commencing 16 December 2024 and the week commencing 31 March 2025. 

If you are in receipt of Housing Benefit or the housing element of Universal Credit, and need further help covering your rent, are in rent arrears, or need to make an advance rent payment when moving into your new property, you could consider applying for a Discretionary Housing Payment through your local authority.

If you're a Watford Community Housing tenant, you may be able to purchase your home from us at a discounted rate through the government's Right to Buy scheme.

If you became a Watford Community Housing tenant more recently, you may qualify for the government's Right to Acquire scheme, as long as you have been a secure tenant for more than three years.

We're developing much-needed affordable homes to help everyone to have a place of their own, and to provide better community spaces. 

Our commercial subsidiary, Clarendon Living, provides premium homes in the South East, and reinvests its profits in Watford Community Housing's affordable homes. 

Although we don’t advertise land for sale, we will consider requests to purchase land from us.
