We know that money worries can be really stressful, so we’ll do everything we can to support you. This section includes useful information to help you stay on top of your finances.
We offer a free, confidential money advice service to all of our tenants. Whether you’re looking for practical support, advice on budgeting or more information about how to manage your bills, our Financial Inclusion Officers are there for you. Sitting down with one of our Financial Inclusion team will give you the chance to plan your expenses and discuss your financial situation.
When you get in touch with us about your money worries, we will ask a Financial Inclusion Officer to make an appointment to discuss your situation with you in more detail. This conversation could be over the phone or in person, either at our offices or in your home. Our service is honest, non-judgemental and treats everyone with respect.
The Financial Inclusion Officers can work with you to see if you’re receiving the right benefits, provide you with Food Bank vouchers and refer you to other services if necessary. We can also support you with reviews of benefits decisions and at benefit hearings.
For more information on our tenancy support services, download our leaflet now.
If you’re meeting with one of our Financial Inclusion Officers, please fill out a Financial Statement form beforehand, so we can get an idea of your situation before we meet.

The Welfare Fund is a dedicated fund initially created to support our customers who were affected financially by Covid-19 – it has since continued to help those most in need.
This is a discretionary grant and is used to help ease financial pressures for one or more of the following reasons:
The funding does not cover items such as: medical expenses, fences and gates, childcare, dentists, personal care, non-essential furnishings such as a sofa, home decorations and garden maintenance.
If you, or someone you know, may need help from this fund, please get in touch with us. You can email us at community@wcht.org.uk or call us on 0800 218 2247.
Some money issues are too complex for our Financial Inclusion Officers to help with. However, we can refer you to specialist services which may be better suited to your situation.
