We would not usually consider this to be anti-social behaviour.
If you have concerns about the welfare of an adult or child, please report this to the police by calling 101 for non-emergencies or 999 for emergencies.
We suggest that you speak to your neighbour first to explain the issue, as they may not realise that it is causing you a problem. To help you with this, we have produced a “Dear Neighbour” postcard – simply download it, print it out and post it through their door to let them know your concerns.
If you still feel disturbed, please download our Noise App where you can start to record and report the noise you are hearing. We can then advise you if the noise is something that we would investigate. Please note, we can only take action if the person causing the noise is one of our tenants.
You may want to consider mediation as a way that you and your neighbours can express your feelings about the situation and agree on a solution. This is a free, independent and confidential service that we can refer you to – please just ask and we will be happy to help.
If the noise lasts longer than 30 minutes at a time for more than five days in a row, please contact us on 0800 218 2247 so we can support you.
If the noise is coming from a property that is not owned by Watford Community Housing, you can report your concerns to your local authority.
