We've secured funding to help tenants cut energy bills
We are delighted to announce that our Greener Herts partnership has made a successful bid to the Government’s Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) which will enable us to make energy-efficiency improvements worth more than £40million!
This funding reflects a combined pledge of £25million from B3Living, Dacorum Borough Council, settle and Watford Community Housing, with an additional £14million provided by the SHDF.
Over 1,500 social housing properties will benefit from this funding – at Watford Community Housing our primary focus will be improving the energy efficiency of our homes through external wall insulation.
It is due to the strength of our Greener Herts partnership that we have managed to secure this grant funding, which will help us improve homes and reduce energy bills for so many social housing residents across Hertfordshire.
These works will take place over the next couple of years and we will target the least energy-efficient homes first. We will contact you if your home is due to receive improvements.
