For many parents, the end of the summer holidays brings a sense of dread about having to buy new expensive school uniform, especially with the cost-of-living continuing to increase.
In order to help local families save some money this summer, we are holding a week of pop-up shops across Watford where you can get free school uniform! Local charity Goods for Good very kindly donated a large amount of unbranded school uniform for us to give out to those most in need.
The uniform is suited for primary school children and consists of cardigans and sweatshirts, ranging from age two to 13. The colours we have on offer are red, burgundy, navy blue and dark green.
As well as uniform there will also be a small amount of stationery and other pre-loved clothing items such as coats and trousers. There will be a limited supply of each item and we want as many families to benefit as possible, so please only take what you need.
