Watford Community Housing achieves Independent Living Standards accreditation

We're happy to announce we have achieved Erosh's Independent Living Standards accreditation for our independent living and flexicare schemes!

Erosh is a national consortium for older people's housing in the UK. They help to improve housing standards for older people by ensuring that the sector adheres to their guidelines and that older people living in independent living schemes are given accessible, affordable and inclusive services.

Our independent living schemes offer comfortable living for people over the age of 50, with flexicare options providing a little extra help for people who find that maintaining their home on their own is gradually becoming more difficult. Flexicare provides residents with their own flat but with the added bonus of on-site care and support – these services are flexible and are tailored to each resident.

Commenting on the accreditation, Vannessa Wright, Senior Scheme Officer said: “Being an accredited provider verifies that our staff are appropriately and regularly trained and comply with the professional standards encompassed in the Erosh Code of Practice.

“We are extremely proud that we have achieved the Erosh accredited provider status for our independent living and flexicare service. Thanks to the team, our colleagues, and customers for all their hard work in helping us achieve this award”.
