The White Ribbon Walk for Women of Watford aims to collectively walk 186 miles across 16 days – each mile representing the number of reported incidents of domestic abuse in Watford last year.
Starting from 22 November, a different local organisation will lead a one mile walk around a designated route in Watford. All events are delivered by the ‘Walk for Women of Watford’ partnership which consists of Watford Council, Veolia, Watford Community Housing, Watford Women’s Centre, Everyone Active and Watford Football Club.
Our slot is 28 November from 12pm to 2pm. We will also be joined by staff from Watford Women’s Centre – we will meet at 59 Clarendon Road and our walk will end at the Women’s Centre for refreshments. If you meet us along the way, make sure to say hello!
We are so pleased to be a part of this partnership and to be doing our bit for this important initiative in recognition of women and girls in Watford experiencing domestic abuse.
