We celebrated The Big Door Knock 2023!

On Thursday 15 June 2023, Watford Community Housing took part in The Big Door Knock! 

This is our annual event where all of our teams head out into our neighbourhoods to visit our residents in person. 

It's a chance for you to give us feedback, raise any concerns and find out more about the services we offer.

Here are just a few of our findings from the day:

• This year we managed to knock on about 4,366 people’s doors and were able to complete 1,260 surveys – that is nearly 200 more than last year!  
• This gave us a 77% overall satisfaction rating, with satisfaction highest in our Housing for Older People at 91%
• 29% of our residents were interested in finding out more about community activities 
• 24% were interested in finding out about downsizing and other housing options 
• 80% of our residents told us that they know how to make a complaint if they need to

We also got a lot of great feedback from our residents, including Jean from Leavesden Green who said, "I think it's good that the staff come around to check on us each year – it makes me feel cared for and part of the community."

We have had over 50 tenants contact us to rearrange a time in the evening or weekend for us to visit as they weren't home when we called in. If, unfortunately, we didn't manage to get to your home or you were out when we visited, we would still like to hear from you!
