On Saturday 29 July we held an event in Sherwoods to help clean up the local area!
We regularly hold community clean-up days as a way for residents to dispose of their household rubbish and to advise them of the correct ways to dispose of large objects, rather than by fly-tipping.
This clean-up day was organised with the Leavesden Community Group – staff from our Communities and Estates teams were very pleased to be joined by committee members from the tenant resident group.
We hired two skips; one was funded by Watford Community Housing and the other by Councillor Richard Wenham. Overall it was a very successful day – both skips were completely full, residents were grateful for the opportunity to dispose of their rubbish, and our staff and committee members were inundated with offers of cups of tea from the residents!
