Today is the first day of Pride Month and we are very pleased to announce that we will once again be sponsoring the Health and Wellbeing marquee at Herts Pride!
Herts Pride, Hertfordshire’s largest LGBTQ+ festival, is a wonderful celebration of diversity and inclusion that takes place each year in Cassiobury Park – this year on Saturday 19 August.
We have a number of staff going who are so excited to meet people in our communities! We will be there to discuss our employment opportunities, different housing options, support for the rising cost-of-living, and much more.
It is a safe, inclusive and fun day for all the family to enjoy! There are live performances throughout the day, access to information and advice from local partners and charities, delicious funfair food and rides and, of course, the legendary Herts Pride Dog Show!
Paul Richmond, our Group lead for Equality and Diversity said: “We are delighted and proud to join friends and stakeholders from across Hertfordshire in supporting this event. We have been a supporter of Herts Pride since its inception and we love that our staff and former staff members have donated their time over the years to make this such a huge success.
“We are a community business and one of the largest social landlords in the area, serving around 5,700 homes across South West Herts. We have several members of our team coming along on the day and we look forward to meeting everyone. Our stall inside the marquee will be advertising our latest employment opportunities and roles for enhancing career progression, like Board and Committee memberships. There will also be a chance to find out more about how to access different housing options, with information on some direct lets to our affordable and Independent Living housing schemes. Staff will also be on hand to give advice about support with the cost of living, accessing our welfare fund and tackling hate crime, which we take very seriously in our communities.
“As an organisation, our vision is “Better Homes and Friendlier Communities – Together”, and we are really pleased to stand #TogetherAsOne with Herts Pride.”
We look forward to meeting lots of you there!
