Harebreaks Community Hub is currently home to Zumba Gold, Watford Deaf Club, The Dan Tien as well as other fitness classes, events and parties. Due to all the activity, it is fair to say that our hub was in need of a revamp.

Kooka, our insulation contractors, kindly agreed to take on the task as a goodwill gesture.

Over two weeks, the team at Kooka repaired any damage, prepped the walls, and then gave them a new lick of paint - fully transforming a space much-loved by our communities.

Karen Jago, Watford Community Housing’s Senior Community Hubs Officer, said: “Harebreaks Community Hub provides a space for a variety of different events including exercise classes, parties and art classes, so it has experienced its fair share of wear and tear over the years. We would like to thank Kooka for their hard work in transforming our hub into a bright and inviting space for both our returning and new hirers.”

A representative from Kooka said: “As we concluded our handover, it was clear that this project was not just about paint and repairs; it was about creating a lasting space that would benefit the community for years to come. The Kooka team felt a deep sense of fulfilment knowing that our work would enhance the lives of residents and contribute to a stronger, more connected community.”

Thank you to Kooka, for your hard work revitalising our hub!
